MOTION IN TIME 

Motion In Time is a collection of songs I wrote over my wanderlust period of 2019-2020. These songs explore the challenges and epiphanies experienced during this time frame. Having lived in California for years, by June of 2019, a need for change was brewing. Everything I owned was safely in a storage unit, and so, I hit the road. By the time Covid first hit I made it to the East Coast and my mother's home. Realizing I needed something to do to pass the time, with the help from my long time musical friend Jared, I started constructing these songs to help me stay sane. I purchased Logic attempting to teach myself how to record. My friend, Megan, called me one day to see how I was doing. I told her about my adventures in writing songs and "trying" to record them on Logic. She asked what I wanted to do with the songs; I said ultimately make each sound as good as possible. She called me a week later, told me an old friend, Chris, who used to play in Monterey, was open to the idea of connecting with fellow artists virtually to talk about songwriting and the creative process. I reached out to Chris and he agreed to work with me for a small fee. We went over the songs for a few weeks until I finally made the decision to track from Pennsylvania back to California in late May 2020. Chris was located in Minneapolis Mn and I decided to meet with him in person. We hit it off and decided the best way to work together was in person. I drove to California worked for 3 months then packed everything back up and drove to Minneapolis to record my first album. The recording sessions ran from mid September through late November 2020. I'm forever grateful for the people that helped make this dream reach fruition and grateful to myself for taking this leap of faith.
